Uh, its about time, right?! I kept feeling like the worst blogger on the planet by constantly promising a Nursery post and then it was nowhere to be found. To be fair, if it wasn’t one thing it was another … moving at 32 weeks pregnant (I don’t recommend, btw.), things being back-ordered, Fed Ex losing my packages, and well, there was that thing called labor that totally threw a wrench in things. I’m totally convinced the only reason I still have a blogger following is because you all are waiting for this post that I promised 42 posts ago … like you don’t have anything else going on in your lives but waiting for this post, right?! We’ll just let me keep thinking that, ok? So here it is … the post I know you all are dying to see. The Nursery.
My vision for the Nursery was to create a bright, crisp, yet dainty space. I didn’t want anything to “little girlish” so I pieced together everything on my own. I wanted this space to grow with Mykenzi as she grew into toddlerhood. The first thing I found was the Gold Dot Sheets from The Land of Nod. If you haven’t been to their website you should probably drop everything and go … now. They have the cutest bedding for Baby and Toddlers. It’s a good thing I’m broke already because I definitely would’ve drained the bank on their website. Totally sold on the Gold Dots, I wanted a splash of color that played well with Gold and wasn’t traditional pink … and alas, that’s how Coral was born. Throw in a Monogram the size of Texas, some DIY projects, and a crib … and Boom! I had a Nursery.
The only thing that is missing is my Glider that is currently sitting in my garage awaiting paint. There was no way I could push this post off anymore waiting the finish of that … well, because if we’re being honest, who the heck knows when that’ll get finished. Thankfully, I have a rocking recliner in the living room so I can still Rock a Bye Baby.
