You know you’ve hit adulthood when simple household gadgets make your homeowner’s heart sing. Bonus points if those said gadgets make “adulting” a little easier. I’ve recently fallen in love with a vacuum cleaner, but really, she’s so much more than “just a vacuum.” Yes, she. She deserves a little more credit than just being a vacuum because with her around, keeping this humble abode clean just got so much easier.
I knew when we bought this house that I would need the ultimate clean-mate (see what I did there?) in my corner. Having hardwood floors AND carpet was a game changer, and simple sweeping just wasn’t going to cut it. Not with two furry hairballs running around. I’m talking about the cats, not the kids. Although, the kids are pretty hairy too. But anyway, I knew we needed something that was going to help keep them both in check fairly easily. Enter the Dyson V8 Cord Free Vacuum.
The Dyson V8 Cord Free Vacuum is the perfect addition to our family. With 6 different attachments, I just replaced my broom, duster, and vacuum and combined them all into one. There’s a Direct Drive Cleaner Head on a 360° swivel ball for carpet cleaning, a soft roller cleaner head, a crevice tool, a combination tool, dusting brush, and a mini motorized tool for stairs, or cars.
The Direct Drive Cleaner is great for carpet cleaning as it drives the bristles into the carpet to remove ground-in dirt and debris. This is also great for the cat hair that sticks to the carpet, not to mention, the cookie crumbs a certain little toddler left behind.
My husband and I have both become obsessed with the Soft Roller Cleaner head. This is where the love affair started. This tool is perfect for hardwoods and has permanently replaced sweeping. I picks up the finest dust and all the cat hair! It was love at first vacuum. Just to show you, I opened a Splenda Packet and sprinkled it all over my floor and it picked every last granule up. Oh, and a little tip for the ladies, this tool is so amazing, I find my husband vacuuming more than I do. #wifewin
The other tools are just as amazing too. I no longer have to get a stool to get the cobwebs from our tall ceiling corners, just add the crevice attachment and voila. Plus, the Dyson V8 is so light, you can lift it with one hand.
If those reasons alone haven’t sold you enough, you can detach the long hose, and use the vacuum with the other attachments as a handheld tool which is perfect for cars, stairs, or any small space. It even comes with a convenient docking station you can mount to the wall for organized storage. I would show you a picture of that, but my husband has been so obsessed with vacuuming that he hasn’t gotten around to mounting it yet.
The Dyson V8 has opened a whole new world to vacuuming. I’ve never been more excited to vacuum, ever. I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for because I’ve gone through 3-4 regular $60 vacuums over the years for one reason or another. It never fails, they always crap out with a few years. I have a really old model Dyson Upright Vacuum that still sucks as well as it did brand new, so I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Dyson V8.
But, don’t just take my word for it, start your own love affair with Dyson. Hurry, they are having a major Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale that ends 11/28. Save up to $200 on select Dyson Technology here.
You’re welcome. Happy Vacuuming.
